Have you ever tried to put a can of tuna behind your TV? You might be wondering why we need to do this, don’t worry, we will reveal it to you right away.

Unfortunately, the place where we decide to install the television does not always have good reception, but with this simple and inexpensive trick we can watch everything we want by optimizing the signal. Curious to know how to proceed?

A little trick to watch TV well

What we are facing today is a problem that many people have in common, we are talking about the  poor signal  , which does not allow us to see all the channels we would like on television. In some cases they are only partially visible, in others they are completely obscured. Again, the signal can appear and disappear.

Searching the web  we found a way to stabilize it  and thus enjoy a good experience. It is not necessary to spend money or trust a professional, the object we are going to use is actually before our eyes every day and destined for the trash.

In this way, we can recycle it and obtain significant benefits without  damaging the appliance at all  . Let’s see what this simple and quick method consists of.

Create a DIY antenna

You understood it well, it is possible  to create an antenna in just a few steps  , taking advantage of the tutorial available on YouTube. The images are so complete that it is not necessary to give further explanations.

It actually takes a few minutes and very little material, which can be found in any hardware store or store specializing in electronics.

The first step is to take a can of tuna or any other food that has a similar container and, above all, is made of the same material.  We empty it and wash it carefully  after removing the lid with the tab: the latter should not be thrown away but kept because we will need it soon.

In these first operations it is important to be careful not to cut yourself. After having carefully washed and dried the box,  we make a mark with the marker at the central point of the bottom and then drill a hole  .

Once we have the hole,  we can take an adapter and insert it  , then screw the nut onto the part that comes out and tighten it well.

Now let’s take a 10-centimeter antenna wire and cut the two ends of the plastic sheath to expose the internal filaments.  One part should be connected to the adapter inserted in the center of the can  , internally.

Now we take the remaining section of the antenna cable and screw the  appropriate adapters  to then connect the two ends respectively to the one inserted into the can (from the outside) and to the input that is normally found behind the television.

We conclude with the last step, that is,  we take the tab  that we removed before and fix it inside the box, where the adapter will be, with a piece of antenna cable. Once this is done, we will have our very original and inexpensive DIY antenna and as you can see in the YouTube video,  the TV receives the signal perfectly when it is connected, while it goes dark when we unscrew the antenna from the can  . Incredible! Without expensive interventions and without effort.
