From 14 to 23 September 2023, the 18th edition of the LeXGiornate Festival returns to Brescia, with many meetings and shows to see.
“Experience is young” is the theme of the event that is organized by the Francesco Soldano Association . It offers a wide variety of entertainment. From conferences to literary meetings and from concerts to theater performances .
The purpose of the Festival, in fact, is precisely to have a multidisciplinary , polyphonic and multifaceted approach . The guests are of international caliber and propose various themes.
New visions and new contaminations that mix different languages , including music, technology, the environment and much more. The areas of intervention are five and are organized through formats aimed at secondary schools .
The first theme concerns food responsibility, the second one concerns education in the use of technology. The third one concerns environmental sustainability, the fourth one concerns the concept of periphery and the last one focuses on the protagonism of young people.
A new space called “art profession”
In addition to this variety of interests, the organizers have also created a new space called “profession art”. A meeting place in the city center, dedicated to dialogue between the public, young people, and professionals .
The burden and honor of opening the Festival falls to a very young artist, eighteen-year-old Frida Bollani Magoni . A talented pianist and singer capable of generating emotions during her performances and daughter of art with her father Stefano Bollani and mother Petra Magoni .
The theater of his performance will be the Cesare Arici school . The idea of using educational venues alongside classic locations of the show is one of the novelties of this year.
At the Giuseppe Pastori technical institute , instead, there will be the great trumpeter and composer Paolo Fresu . He will delight in the show “Fughe” . On the literary and scientific side , among the first illustrious personalities stands out the philosopher of biology and essayist Telmo Pievani .
Author of the television program created for RAI “La fabbrica del mondo” . The author combines theatrical narration with scientific dissemination. The thinker Vito Mancuso, who is a regular at the event, will not be missing.
The many names linked to LeXGiornate 2023 show an intense crossover between the different sectors of culture . Created by Daniele Alberti, the event is very complex. Over the years, it has made a truly important contribution to the cultural growth of Brescia.
Education, kindness and inclusion are the key words
During the press conference held months ago at the Sala Giudici of Palazzo della Loggia, the Soldano Foundation had anticipated, in broad terms, the ambitious program. Coinciding, also, with the year of the city as Capital of Culture .
The September program was also possible thanks to the synergy with other organizations, administrations, businesses and schools in the area . At the center of the event are young people.
They will be accompanied by the key words education , kindness and inclusion . Important themes that certainly need to be revisited , especially in the current post-pandemic society that needs to recover values that, it seems, have been lost .
