Today I’m offering you two simple and inexpensive tips for your everyday life. These ingenious ideas use materials you probably already have at home, such as PET bottles. Whether you’re feeding your chickens or transporting your eggs safely, these tips will make your life easier!
Tip #1: Build a chicken feeder
Required materials:
- A large PET bottle (the bigger the better)
- Strong cord or rope (e.g. mason’s line)
- A pot lid (or other base)
- A soldering iron or a tool for drilling holes
- chicken feed (or corn)
manufacturing steps:
- Prepare the bottle : Cut the bottom of the PET bottle. These cuts will allow the food to gradually flow out.
- Drilling Holes : Using a soldering iron, drill a hole in the bottom of the bottle and two holes in the top to attach the string.
- Tie the string tightly : Tie the string tightly to the bottle with strong knots.
- Install the dispenser : Hang the bottle on a support (such as a pot lid) and fill it with chicken feed. The chickens will peck and the feed will drip out.
Advantages :
- Economical: Use recycled materials.
- Practical: The feeding troughs do not have to be constantly refilled.
