If you have garden tiles and don’t know how to clean them, we have the right solution for you. Below are all the details.

When you want to install outdoor flooring, you need to make the right choice . You have to take into account different variables than those outside, and that is why you have to evaluate functionality rather than aesthetics. Outdoor materials are different and it also depends on where they are placed.
Among the characteristics that an exterior floor must have are: waterproof, non-slip and antifreeze. On the other hand, it must be resistant to loads and above all to atmospheric agents. But also to sudden changes in temperature and any tendency to mould. All the characteristics can be found in the technical data sheet of the material and floor you choose.

Among the possibilities that can be chosen for the exterior we have terracotta, natural stone, outdoor porcelain stoneware, concrete, wood and other synthetic materials. Now let’s see how to clean garden tiles depending on the materials . You can find everything in the next paragraph.
Garden tiles: this is how you should clean them
As we have just said, indoor tiles should not be used outdoors at all, as they do not have the same resistance . Obviously, tiles that are outdoors are more prone to dirt due to atmospheric causes or simply the presence of a garden nearby.
Then there are some materials that are more porous than others and tend to accumulate more dirt and dust. For ordinary cleaning of garden tiles, you can use a natural mixture consisting only of water and vinegar . If there are more stubborn stains, you can also add baking soda or Marseille soap. But let’s look at the individual materials:

- Stone : To clean outdoor stone paving you can use a mixture of 10 tablespoons of alcohol, 2 tablespoons of baking soda and Marseille soap.
- Cotto : It is better to choose a specific detergent. There are several specific ones on the market for this type of floor. It is a delicate floor and you should also take care to dry it with a microfibre cloth.
- Wood : in this case too it is advisable to use specific products as it is a very delicate material, products based on specific oils are needed.
Removing weeds from tiles
If you find weeds between the tiles, it is perfectly normal . We are in the garden and it is possible that this happens. Even if you always pull out the root, it always comes back and for this you have to use a specific product. For example, you can use baking soda diluted in water.

Simply take a bottle with 1 L of water and then add 10 g of bicarbonate . Shake well and then pour into the places where there are more weeds. These will die and tend not to grow anymore. You will most likely have to do this more than a few times. Remember to do it at dusk when there is no sun and with temperatures below 35°C.
