Starting from 10 June there will be changes related to separate waste. In certain Italian areas there will no longer be door-to-door passage by the appointees. Therefore, not all Italian areas will be able to take advantage of this new method related to garbage collection. Where will this change apply?
Separate waste collection: goodbye to door-to-door
A change has been taking place in Follonica for a few days that has not left the citizens stunned, as this sort of organizational change was already in the air. For a long time now, the operations relating to garbage had changed in many Italian points, with the elimination of the shared bins placed in various points of the city centers replaced by the door-to-door.
In recent days, a decision taken in these Italian areas has been put into practice. A decision that is based on the fact that there will no longer be door-to-door collection of garbage. In particular, we are talking about places like Senzuno, Cassarello and 167.
The reorganization of the collection services in the municipality of Follonica is therefore actively continuing.
First, however, three public meetings with citizens took place, which were characterized by the high concentration of attendance by citizens.
Now in recent days in particular, the operations related to the positioning of new workstations have been completed, used through a type of controlled access.
What these changes entail
The change of this specific service has made it possible to introduce many new features. One of these is undoubtedly the fact that we have thus overcome the collection system present until now, characterized by the system of door-to-door collection.
This type of service was basically based on the bag and condominium type method, for all users belonging to the areas of Cassarello, Senzuno, 167 East and West.
All this began on June 10th, so it is a change that has been activated for a very short time. It follows that on that date the garbage was collected for the last time through the old door-to-door service.
In addition, the installation of new containers has been implemented, concerning separate waste collection, which from now on will be different, at least for these points of the Italian territory.
What will differentiate the new method from the one just finished is the fact of carrying out a type of collection with controlled access.
Meanwhile, the use of the new installations is very easy, also because a useful tutorial has been made available to citizens through the viewing of a video. The latter shows the correct way to use the new containers.
For the first time, these bins will be free and open, without the need to use the 6Card for the delivery of waste.
Therefore, in order to open the container, citizens will only have to press the button on the display. Alternatively, they will have to press the pedal for opening.
Evidently, this initial use of the new containers was thought of, so as to gradually get the citizens used to this type of change at the city level. So as to make this procedure one of the usual daily ones, just as had happened with the previous method concerning the delivery of waste.
