It is a natural fertilizer used by professionals in the sector and only it will help the flowers to grow exponentially.

A natural fertilizer recommended by expert nurserymen in the sector. When the flowers do not grow and the plants are not very healthy, it means that they lack natural active ingredients. For this reason, the experts wanted to make their method known. It is a single ingredient, completely natural to use whenever plants need it.
Natural fertilizer for plants: how to use it
This natural fertilizer is a sustainable and eco-friendly option, as it does not contain any chemicals that are harmful to the environment. What is it about? It’s the yeast.
The yeast contained in the sourdough starter is used to make the dough rise, but yeast can also be used for plants. Yeast alone does not provide food directly for the plants, but acts as a stimulant for the roots. There are several ways to use yeast as a fertilizer. Below are a few options:
- The first option is to mix a teaspoon of baking powder with half a liter of warm water. Let the mixture rest for at least an hour so that the yeast activates and begins to produce carbon dioxide. The solution can then be sprayed onto the leaves of the plants or poured directly onto the base of the roots. This process helps the plant absorb carbon dioxide, promoting the process of photosynthesis and therefore healthy and vigorous growth;

- Another method is to add a mixture of yeast and water to the compost at the time of creation. Yeast helps break down organic matter and nutrients in the compost. This process helps to produce a more nutrient-rich humus, which plants can easily absorb for healthy growth;
- The third method is to use baking powder to create liquid compost. To do this, you need to add two glasses of baking powder to 5 liters of water, along with some “activating” ingredients such as honey, brown sugar and lactic acid. Let the mixture ferment for a few days, until it becomes darker and smells less acidic. Liquid compost can be sprayed directly onto plant roots or leaves, as described above.
In general, it is recommended to use plant yeast once or twice a month for best results.
Benefits of yeast for plants
Yeast has been used for years as an effective aid for gardening and growing plants. Its benefits are manifold and include increased disease resistance, improved soil nutrition, reduced plant development time, and more robust and vigorous growth.
First, it helps improve soil quality because it contains a number of nutrients that are essential for plant growth, including sulfur, magnesium, calcium, and iron. This way, plants have access to all the nutrients they need to develop healthy and strong.

Additionally, yeast helps stimulate the growth of plant roots, increasing their ability to absorb water and nutrients from the soil. This means that plants will be able to grow better and better withstand adverse conditions, such as drought or disease.
