Never throw away the tabs of cans because they are very useful for making beautiful creations: try it to believe it.
The last period of great economic difficulties has pushed many families to radically change their habits and behaviors, especially at home. To try not to receive ‘crazy bills’ anymore, many have begun to adjust the temperature of the fridge more carefully, better manage cooking in the oven, unplug the TV at night and much more. However, to save on monthly costs, many families have also seen fit to rely on the noble art of recycling, which also allows them to have much less impact on the environment.
Never throw away the can tabs – you can do something unique with them
Yes, there are so many objects that we tend to throw in the garbage after using them. Nothing could be more wrong, since they can be easily recovered and reused to create something nice and useful.
Just to give an example, the tabs of the cans of the drinks we normally consume – both at home and outside – should never be thrown in the trash. You can’t even imagine how useful they are for making various types of creations.
All you need is four tabs of cans and two balls of yarn (as for the colors, choose the ones you like best). Of course, you will also need a needle.
What should we go and do? The first step is to cover the tab with one of the chosen threads. With the help of the needle we can easily do this work.
However, in addition to covering the tab with the thread, you also need to insert the beads. You can do this by simply passing the needle through each of the beads and continuing the knitting, so as to insert them into the creation you are making.
The beads will characterize almost the entire outer edge of the tongue: in all you will have to insert twelve. Once this step is completed, it will be necessary to make a hem at the end of the tongue, where we will then hook the other creations.
Just like we did with this tab, we will also do with the others, so as to obtain a total of four creations. Using needle and thread we join them through their respective edges, so as to make a kind of cross.
Creating with can tabs will also appeal as a gift
Once this step has been passed, take the thread of the other color and roll it around the central part of the creation we have just made, so as to form the ‘body’ of the butterfly.
All that remains is to insert another bead at the top, as you can clearly see in the video, tying it with the wire we used earlier.
With the same thread we also create a hook, so that we can use this creation for many purposes. The beautiful butterfly that we were able to create with only four can tabs, two balls and a needle is perfect as a keychain.
