The remedy for dull and old wood
As we said, there are natural products that can be used to treat wooden furniture. Specifically, they polish them and also remove stains. Today we are going to see in particular a polishing treatment with only natural products that you will surely find in your kitchen.
Before you start with this, however, remember to dust and clean your wooden furniture. These two steps are essential before polishing. To dust you can help yourself with a wool sweater that attracts dust and to clean you can use Marseille soap.

Now you can move on to the polishing treatment and to prepare it you will need: 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 2 tablespoons of vinegar (you can increase the doses according to how much you need). Mix these two ingredients well and then with the help of a soft-bristled brush pass it all over the wooden furniture.
Leave it on for a few hours and then wipe with a woolen cloth to rinse. Always remember to test in an inconspicuous place on the furniture first to make sure that the furniture does not get damaged and to achieve the desired effect. Here the furniture is as good as new. If you want, however, you can also use these products individually and below we will tell you how.
Other natural remedies
As we were saying, the two products listed above can also be used individually and they are not the only ones. Here are which ones you can use:
- Vinegar: it can be used alone together with a microfiber cloth moistened and wrung out well. Pour a few drops on this and pass it in circular motions in order to nourish the wood. Great for this job is apple cider vinegar.
- Olive oil: this ingredient is excellent for wood because it nourishes it deeply. In this case, put a few drops on a cotton ball and pass it through the affected areas. Leave it on for a few minutes. Then wipe with a dry wool cloth.

- Lemon juice: with the help of a damp microfiber cloth, pass the lemon juice over the entire surface of the wooden furniture. It will be polished in no time.
- Marseille soap and baking soda: of these two you need 2 tablespoons and 2 tablespoons dissolved in 500 ml of water. Then take a cloth and pour this solution over it and in addition to polishing the furniture it will be super clean.
Whatever natural product you decide to use, always remember to try it in a hidden part. This step is essential so as not to ruin the furniture.
