The oven is a household appliance very prone to the formation of dirt and impurities of all kinds. When we cook our dishes inside, it is inevitable that something will fall to the bottom. Pieces of food, drops of oil or any type of sauce. If when they fall we do not collect them immediately, during cooking at high temperatures they will begin to char and become encrusted. After that it will be extremely difficult to get rid of these encrusted residues.

This also happens on the glass of our oven: it often gets very dirty and cleaning it becomes very complicated. You have to arm yourself with elbow grease and a lot of patience. In the following article we reveal a sensational trick to clean our oven thoroughly and without too much effort. Get some aluminum foil and dishwasher tablets: we explain what to do.

How many times have we looked at our oven and thought we had to commit to a thorough cleaning? It happens very often. Given the difficulty in getting rid of stubborn dirt, we tend to postpone the fateful moment or limit them to a superficial but unsatisfactory cleaning. All you need is some tin foil and a dishwasher cleaning tablet. Any type of tablet will do.

It is an excellent product for cleaning the dishwasher but it is also excellent if used in other contexts. It will be necessary to place it in a container and immerse it in boiling water to ensure that it dissolves completely. The amount of water needed is not excessive. Now let’s see how to carry out this procedure specifically.

How to clean the oven with the aluminum foil method: if you try it you don’t go back

When we have to cope with stubborn and charred encrustations, we must immediately put our souls at peace. The use of a degreaser and a simple damp cloth will never be enough. This kind of dirt tends to melt with the oven itself, giving life to very black and charred unsightly stains.

When we are faced with such a level of encrustations, we have to act differently. The encrustations must be able to soften to dissolve and disappear.

To make them soften we must use our liquid solution of water and dissolved tablet. We dip a sponge to wash the dishes in this liquid and start rubbing the surfaces, both the internal ones and the glass. The sponge must be well impregnated.

Thanks to this step we will be able to remove a first surface of dirt: your sponge will turn black. Then wash the sponge and pass it over the dirty surfaces to remove any residue. If the situation still doesn’t convince you, it’s time to get the tinfoil.

Oven and encrustations

Moisten all affected surfaces with the liquid previously created. Then spread a sheet of aluminum foil to cover the entire area. Leave it on for at least five minutes.

After the necessary time has elapsed, you can proceed: when you remove the card you will notice how all the dirt has remained attached to it. Thanks to aluminum, the encrustations soften and go away much more easily. Crumple the aluminum foil and use it to scrape off any residue. Then wash everything off: there will be no trace of encrustations!
