To clean the skirting board and make any type of stain disappear, you can rely on this very effective remedy.

Mopping on the floors to remove all traces of dust and dirt is an activity that should be carried out daily, in order to avoid finding yourself with a lot of work to do due to too high a level of dirt. However, mopping can be very tedious and tiring, especially when it comes to cleaning baseboards thoroughly. It is certainly no coincidence that very often floors are swept without paying attention to the cleanliness of the skirting boards, which therefore remain with a certain amount of dirt. To thoroughly sanitize skirting boards you have to get down and that is above all why in most cases we tend to ignore them.
Cleaning the skirting board: with these remedies it will be very easy
Nothing could be more wrong, since the skirting boards must also be cleaned just like the floors and the rest of the house. Fortunately, there are many easy tricks that allow you to clean skirting boards well without wasting too much time and above all without effort.

Among the most popular solutions there is certainly that of the cotton ball, which you just need to immerse in some solutions that guarantee a very satisfactory cleaning action.
However, choosing the right element to clean the skirting board must be based on the material of the skirting board itself. To be clearer, if the goal is to clean a ceramic skirting board, then the cotton ball will be dipped in white vinegar, then passed it over the areas where the stains are present.
White vinegar is also the ideal element with wooden skirting boards, while for other materials the advice is to rely on other remedies.
Just to give an example, with marble skirting boards, white vinegar is the worst possible choice, since its acidity risks irreparably corroding this material. With a skirting board of this type you need a much gentler product. The advice is to focus on Marseille soap or at most yellow soap.
In addition to the trick of the swab soaked in one of these very effective solutions, there are also other methods that allow you to intervene on the skirting board by eliminating all types of stains and thus making the dirt disappear.
We have already talked about wooden skirting boards, on which it is better to apply white vinegar for its particularly incisive action on this material. The advice that experts tend to give is to combine it with olive oil to obtain a more moisturizing action.
With these solutions, the skirting board will be as good as new
Half a glass of white vinegar is poured into a container with half a glass of olive oil, then two glasses of water are added.

After mixing properly, the solution should be applied to a sponge or a microfiber cloth, then rub it on the skirting board to observe a very satisfactory cleaning action. Rinsing with a cloth soaked in hot water we will immediately notice that there will no longer be a trace of stains and dirt.
Finally, another method widely used by grandmothers is to clean the skirting boards with wet wipes, always opting for biodegradable ones.
Their delicate – but still very effective – action is perfect for bringing wooden skirting boards back to their original shine.
