Many rely on chemicals that can be easily found on the market, but the advice is instead to focus on natural remedies, easily made at home, so as not to risk ruining the surface of the floors.

The first thing to do before proceeding with the application of the natural remedy is to clean the marble grit floor from all easily removable dirt, especially dust.

A job that can be done with a vacuum cleaner or a simple broom, possibly with soft bristles.

Once this step has been completed, you can proceed with the actual cleaning, which must never take place with products loaded with acidity. On the contrary, it is advisable to act on marble grit floors using detergents with neutral pH or in any case with delicate products that do not cause damage to the surface.

For everyday passes, even lukewarm water alone can be enough, with which we are going to soak the rag.

What are these delicate products that help us to perfectly clean this type of floor? Definitely Marseille soap, which we can add inside a bucket that we have already filled with warm water.

Marseille soap is fine both in flakes (a few will suffice) and liquid (let’s put a scoop). After mixing the substance well with warm water, immerse the rag in the bucket and begin to pass it on the floor, possibly making circular movements. In a short time we will see the stains disappear: the floor will be as good as new.

A good alternative to Marseille soap is rubbing alcohol. We will need four tablespoons of this substance, which must be added to the bucket full of warm water.

The procedure is the same as before, i.e. the rag is immersed in the solution obtained and passed on the floor, rinsing later always with warm water.

Finally, it is also possible to create a specific product for marble grit floors. Inside a basin we pour 10 tablespoons of alcohol, 3 tablespoons of baking soda and a tablespoon of Marseille soap, mixing everything well.

The rag is immersed in the basin and passed along the area of the floor where the dirt is present. After about five minutes, rinse it, this time immersing the cloth in warm water only.
