Opening your clothes drawers and inhaling a pleasant, fresh and clean smell is one of life’s pleasures. But this is not always the case. Stored clothing often smells unopened because there is residual moisture between the fibers if it is not completely dry.
We always pay attention to this detail before you store them in the closet, but if damage has already occurred, we can make one or more custom products to deodorize clothes and small spaces.

Scenting clothes in drawers with homemade deodorant: all the steps
We have other options available for scenting the laundry in the drawers. Let’s look at them in detail.
Deodorant for clothes.
The preparation of this deodorant is really simple, everything we need is very easy to find.
Let’s get ready:
- 25 drops of essential oil (your choice, lavender and lemon are the most consistent)
- 500 ml of distilled water
- 2 tablespoons of baking powder
Pour water into a pitcher and add baking soda. Stir to dissolve and add your favorite essence. Pour the mixture into a clean spray bottle and spray directly on the fabrics without overdoing it so as not to wet them. Leave the drawer open to allow any remaining drops to evaporate and enjoy the fresh smell of cleanliness.
Flax-like paper leaves flavored and scented.
In this case, an ordinary sheet of paper, cardboard or paper towels is sufficient . Fold it to make it as thick as possible and then add a few drops of essential oil. Put it in a bag (the one with letters also works) and stick it between your clothes, the intoxicating smell will spread in no time.
Can’t find a material that soaks up perfectly? You can use cotton pads or makeup remover pads in the same way. The result will convince you!
Or put a few drops of the essence in the hat, it is extremely effective for perfuming small spaces.
scented chalk
However, if you are particularly creative and want to spend a good half hour at home with the help of the little ones, prepare scented crayons in your drawer.
All you need is:
- 2 plaster cups for impressions
- 1 cup of water
- Food coloring or water colors (or nothing if you want them white)
- Ox
- wooden pallet
- Silicone molds (ice molds are also great)
- 25 drops of essential oil
Put the water and chalk into a container, stir immediately and quickly to dissolve all the powder, then add the color and essence, if desired, stirring constantly to prevent the mixture from setting prematurely. If the consistency is still manageable, pour it into molds and remove any air bubbles with a toothpick. Allow your work to dry completely before removing from the mold and placing it on a dresser.
This simple and fun creation will delight even the little ones!
