Always a new trend! We have observed this many times when a bag full of water hangs on the doorstep or in front of the window. But why does everyone do it?
Many people are asking this question now! Also because no one has yet adopted this truly original and effective method. We’ve done our research and found this to be a smart and eco-friendly way to avoid having to fend off unwanted guests.
what are we talking about Let’s find out together!

A bag full of water hangs in the house: that’s why everyone does it
When spring and beautiful days full of light and sun are upon you, it is instinctive to open the windows and enjoy a moment of rebirth. Unfortunately, we have to deal with the invasion of all kinds of insects, and flies are among the most annoying.
These parasites are not only annoying, but they also introduce disease-causing germs and bacteria to our walls. It is very important to prevent them from getting in in the first place! The fact is that we cannot harm the air we breathe or the environment by spraying chemical insecticides. Although they are effective immediately, they release toxic substances for the environment and for us.
A group of California researchers have scientifically proven that all you need is a clear plastic bag filled with water hanging around your home. To make this trick even more effective, it is also recommended to put three balls of tin foil or 3 coins inside.
This trick works like a mirror for flies: your reflected image will frighten them and drive them away immediately.
So if you want to scent your home and keep these insects out at the same time, add 5/10 drops of eucalyptus oil to your diffuser, which repels flies and mosquitoes.
Or place the plate on the windowsill and sprinkle it with black peppercorns. This tip will keep them away just like basil plants. The scent of its leaves, so welcoming to us, is a real deterrent for them.
But it doesn’t end there. You can make a natural insecticide from fresh mint (about ten leaves) and white vinegar (500 ml). Mix the two ingredients and spray them in the rooms using a container with a spray nozzle.
Finally, if you want to supplement your pest control with homemade fly paper , mix water, sugar and honey in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, then cut a sheet of A4 paper into several strips and coat them with the mixture just prepared. Place them by the window, place a saucer and you can finally enjoy spring without annoying flies.
