Have you heard that Spathiphyllum requires regular care, including wiping the leaves with a damp cloth up to five times a day? It also needs to be sprayed, the more often, the better. And of course, don’t forget about watering: once a week in winter, every three days in summer, and in spring and autumn everything is much more complicated.
But my spathiphyllum is a real fighter. You probably don’t even know what a wet sponge is. He didn’t see the sprayer either. But he is familiar with water, fertilizers, and lamps. Showers, sprayers, humidifiers – these are not for him.

1.Quiet and cozy place.
My spathiphyllum likes to stand on the ground near the radiator. An unusual choice, isn’t it? The battery doesn’t work from May to October, and that’s when it feels best. In winter, the leaves may turn slightly yellow, but this is not significant. The main thing is that there are no problems with soil dryness and roots.
The light from the phytolamp constantly shines on it, both in summer and winter. This is important because in the northern cities there is not much sunshine.
2. Water as needed, allowing the soil to dry out.
I don’t water on a strict schedule, but when the top layer of soil dries out. Sometimes I wait until the leaves drop a bit before watering. This is an excellent preventative against overflow.

3. Warm and abundant rains.
Once the soil has dried out well, I take the plant to the bathroom and give it a shower. This is great for mites and other problems.
4. Regular feeding with high-quality fertilizers.
I use mineral fertilizers, diluting them in water for irrigation. I do this more often than recommended, but I reduce my concentration.
