Apple cider vinegar is   well known not only for its mild taste, but also for its    therapeutic properties     . To make it, cider or apple cider is fermented, which means that it contains all the benefits of the fruit it comes from:      it is a source of vitamins and minerals and has slimming properties.

Its cloudy liquid usually has deposits that indicate its authenticity, unless it is of industrial origin. In this case, it is actually filtered and pasteurized to a great extent, losing many of the properties that make it a unique and healthy product. Finally, the addition of sulfites to extend shelf life ends up reducing its organoleptic purity and weakening it.

If, on the one hand, it also serves to clean the household, the same does not happen with food.      Therefore, it would be better to prepare it at home using DIY.

You might not know it, but not only is it possible, it’s super easy! However, for proper fermentation, you need to allow for a long rest period.

We’ll see how it goes!

This is how I make apple cider vinegar.

Apple cider vinegar is rich in      bacteria that have a positive effect      on      the intestines.      This makes it a food that      can predict satiety   and      counteract hunger.  In addition,      the minerals released  by phosphorus     , magnesium and      iron   contribute to the proper functioning of the metabolism, speed up the breakdown and excretion of fats taken with food. For this reason, it is considered a natural slimming agent for which, apart from a slight increase in acidic pH, there are practically no contraindications. Do not use it if you suffer from gastritis or ulcers. Otherwise, give it the green light to use in your daily diet. As a spice, it is mild but tasty and adds flavor to our recipes.

It is easy to prepare at home, but it is worth recommending. Buy only  organically  grown and regional    apples.  In order for them to ferment properly, they must be completely pesticide-free. In fact, as expected, this food comes from a fermentation process accelerated by the authenticity of the fruit and its advanced state of ripeness.

You must have:

  • 5 green apples
  • 1 liter of water
  • 50 g of powdered sugar
  • 1 liter of filtered or boiled water

Sterilize a one-liter container      by boiling it in a pot of water for half an hour.

Allow to air dry.

Boil a liter of clean water in a pot. Take two glasses and dissolve the sugar. Let cool completely.

Wash the apples, dry them well and cut them into pieces.

Place them in a container, then cover with boiling water and syrup and mix well. The fruit must be completely submerged in the liquid. Close with sterile gauze and secure with a rubber band. Cover with a towel and store in a dark, cool and dry place.

Let sit for three weeks and      check the apples from time to time for mold. After 21 days, strain the liquid (it will have a sweet aroma) and return it to the container.      Place it back in the dark for 28 days,      but remember to stir it every other day.

After this time, the apple cider vinegar will be ready and you can use it as you like.

Healthy, authentic and made by you! What a satisfaction!
