Many gardeners, especially beginners, have problems with cucumber growth. If all conditions are met, cucumbers bear bad fruit or refuse to grow. I myself encountered this problem many years ago, when I was still starting to grow this crop.

The harvest didn’t make me happy, but everything changed when my mother came to visit me. When she saw my bed of cucumbers, she said that she too had encountered a similar situation and knew what to do. It turned out that the soil lacks beneficial microflora, and there is too much harmful microflora. She shared with me a wonderful feeding recipe that immediately helped my cucumbers perk up and my harvest increase significantly.

So what do we need? All ingredients are natural and healthy. The first component of our fertilizer is a weed infusion, considered one of the best for cucumbers. It is very easy to prepare. Fill the bucket with weeds to the top, fill it with water, cover it with a lid, and place it in a warm place. After 5-7 days, the infusion will begin to ferment and thicken. The resulting fermentation ideally nourishes the cucumbers. To use the infusion it is necessary to dilute 2 liters. Infusion in 10 liters of water.

The second important component of the diet is the drug “Em”. There are many varieties on the market, the most famous being “Baikal EM1” and “Vostok EM1”.

What is it? These are beneficial microorganisms that promote plant development and the rapid formation of humus. The product contains yeasts, fermenting fungi and beneficial actinomycete bacteria that have a positive effect on the soil.

After the drug is applied to the soil, a number of useful processes occur. First, the pathogenic microflora that interferes with the growth and fruiting of cucumbers is suppressed. Secondly, it accelerates the formation of humus and improves the absorption of nutrients from the soil by plants. I must say that using “Em” and green manure together is pure magic.

To do this, simply add 3 tablespoons of the drug “Baikal EM1” to a bucket with a weed infusion and feed the bed of cucumbers, adding a liter and a half of fertilizer to each cucumber. You’ll see great results. Repeat this feeding every 10 days throughout the summer and your bed of cucumbers will become invincible.
