The Colorado potato beetle feeds on leaf blades from urban crops. This causes significant crop losses.

To combat this pest, gardeners often use various home remedies in addition to chemical insecticides. One of the most effective ways is to use vinegar and dry mustard.
Below is a method for preparing a folk remedy for Colorado potato beetle.
Pour 100 ml of vinegar into a deep bowl, add 200 g of mustard powder and mix well. You will get 300 g of mustard mass, which you must then dissolve in 10 liters of water. Pour the resulting solution into a spray bottle, then use it to treat potato beds. It is recommended to perform the treatment at night in dry, windless and cloudless weather.
After treating potato stems with an ottovo mustard solution, there will be no adult beetles or their larvae left in the garden bed.
