To get a high-quality cucumber harvest, it is necessary for the plant to grow strong from the start and receive enough nutrition. In this article, I’ll share three of my favorite seedling foods that prevent stretching and keep them strong. Choose the one that suits you best.

The first option is ammonium sulfate. Its main advantage is that it is easily absorbed by plants. Includes essential nitrogen and sulfur. Nitrogen helps cucumbers effectively increase green mass, but sulfur helps absorb various nutrients and increases their resistance to disease, drought, and overwatering. Seedlings stop growing at home. To prepare the solution, dilute 1 teaspoon of granules in two liters of water and pour 3-4 tablespoons over the seedlings.

The second option is azofoska, which is used to fertilize cucumber seedlings. Azofoska contains a balanced complex of nutrients: phosphorus, nitrogen, and potassium, which strengthen the roots and strengthen the seedlings. The azofoska solution is prepared in the same way as the ammonium sulphate solution: 1 teaspoon is diluted in 2 litres. Water and water cucumber seedlings with this solution.

A third option is a natural infusion based on banana and onion peels, which is an excellent way to take advantage of food waste.

The food scraps that we usually throw away can be used as fertilizer for cucumber seedlings. To prepare the infusion, it is necessary to soak the skin of 1 banana and the skin of 3 onions in a three-liter jug of water. The solution should be infused for three days in a warm place, after which it should be strained and fed 2-3 tablespoons without diluting the cucumber seedlings with water.

Not only does this feeding method improve plant growth and strengthening, but it also protects seedlings from root rot and strengthens their overall immunity.
