How to do it

To apply this natural trick to unclog a sink you can use water and baking soda, or white vinegar. These ingredients have the power to destroy the residues that cause the clogging. This is because baking soda and vinegar have strong descaling properties, exactly what we need to remove any source of clogging from our sink drain.

To make our natural remedy, we will need: boiling waterhalf a glass of baking soda, a cup, a bucket, the sink drain plug and half a cup of white vinegar. If the clogged sink is full of water, before using it, you will need to empty it with a cup and a bucket. For the trick to work, in fact, the sink needs to be empty enough to allow the ingredients to work.

Unclogging a sink

At this point, we can pour a pot of boiling water and half a glass of baking soda down the drain. Leave it on for a few minutes and then pour half a cup of white vinegar as well. After that, we shut off the sink drain with the plug and let everything work.

After a few minutes, everything blocking the sink should have dissolved. To make sure you’ve removed any residue, you can pour in one last bowl of boiling water. It may be helpful to repeat the procedure regularly, especially in the case of significant obstruction.

To apply this method, it is enough to pour half a cup of coarse salt into the sewers, then two liters of boiling water. To make sure that the salt is completely removed and that no residue remains inside the drain, we can always run hot tap water.
