The herb will have a short life, the remedy, non-chemical, that cleanses everything in a few minutes. With the warm season, it becomes clear that our green thumb is becoming more and more present in everyday life. However, for both us plant lovers and those who grow them professionally, weeds grow as a daily event. In addition to being annoying and ruining the appearance of plants and flower beds, these weeds can take over the soil and nutrients of the plants we care for and grow spontaneously. It is clear that weeds can be safely eradicated with chemicals, but at the same time, these products can irreversibly damage the soil.
So what can we do to eliminate weeds while protecting the soil?
Here too, ecological remedies can be particularly effective. There are three types of natural remedies that are suitable for us and that we can use without fear.
Read on to find out what natural remedies you can use to get rid of weeds:
- Salt and vinegar
A natural and very potent herbicide is definitely a mixture of vinegar and salt. You should pour 2 tablespoons of vinegar (apple, wine, or alcohol) and a full teaspoon of salt into a bottle. Then add half a liter of hot water to the bottle and then shake for a few moments. When the salt has dissolved, simply pour the result over the weeds. In this way, vinegar weakens weeds and salt changes the pH of the soil.
- Lemon juice
Using lemon juice in this case is very easy. You just have to put it on top of the weeds that you want to eliminate, in fact the citric acid in the lemon will burn the leaves in a short time.
- Sugar
Sugar is also an exceptional ally. In this sense, it is necessary to sprinkle a layer of sugar no less than one and a half centimeters high on the roots. The next day we will be able to notice the driest plants until they wilt completely.
- Baking soda
To use baking soda, we can choose two methods. The first is to dissolve a glass of baking soda in a liter of water and then pour it into the place where we want to act. Another option is to place some baking soda directly on the weeds. At this point, all you have to do is choose which method is best for you and your needs. Good luck with your work.
