Cleaning is never too easy if you don’t have the right products to use. The room that undoubtedly requires the most attention in terms of hygiene and cleanliness is undoubtedly the bathroom. Witness and home to many bacteria and accumulations of dirt, it is also the place where limescale forms most easily.
Limescale in toilets, but not only, where it settles most easily and how to combat it
In an imaginary subdivision of the bathroom of the house, the toilet is undoubtedly the first place for bacterial residue and dirt. The common idea is not entirely wrong, because given the type of use it is given and how it works, in addition to bacteria, limescale is also added to the toilet which, if not treated properly, over time can lead to stains and streaks. of an unpleasant brown color.
If you have a glass shower, it will probably occupy second place in the ideal ranking of the dirtiest places. The annoying limescale droplets that settle on both glass and tiles contribute to the idea of being dirty and unkempt, leaving rings and stains.
There are countless products on the market to remedy this problem, but they are often rich in chemicals that are not very environmentally friendly. In addition, its smell, even with the addition of fragrances, is often too strong and almost unpleasant.
What you probably don’t know is that the best ally for bathroom cleaning is a product that you probably already have at home. The ideal ally is white vinegar and it can be used in different ways.
Use vinegar to clean the bathroom
White vinegar really does lend itself to countless cleaning uses.
For dark stains in the toilet, for example, simply pour a lot of stains directly on the stains (or on the bottom, if the problem is below the water level) and leave it on for about 20-30 minutes. In this way, the vinegar will have the opportunity to act by weakening the stain, allowing you to clean by rubbing with a toothbrush or sponge. In addition to cleaning, vinegar is a great ally for disinfecting, so using this method periodically will also help you prevent stains from reappearing.
The application of shower glass is very similar. In this case it is advisable to create a mixture of 250 ml of water, 2 tablespoons of vinegar and 2 tablespoons of baking soda.
The ideal procedure is to place the mixture in a spray bottle, spray it on the shower glass, and let it sit once more for about 20 minutes. You can then proceed by scrubbing with a sponge, rinsing with water, and patting dry with a paper towel.
The same solution but without baking soda can also be used to clean the tiles, both in and out of the shower. For tiles, the dosages are slightly different, as the ratio should be 2/3 vinegar to 1/3 water. Also in this case you can spray the solution directly on the tiles, leave it on and then remove with a damp cloth, rubbing if there are stains or a small mold.
Other Uses of Vinegar for the Household
At home, white vinegar can be used for many purposes. One of them is to purify the rooms: in the fridge it will be enough to put two fingers of vinegar in a glass to eliminate bad odors, while in the rooms it can be poured into containers of different sizes to eliminate unpleasant odors.
Also useful for washing clothes, adding a few tablespoons of vinegar to clothes will allow you to have softer clothes and degrease the most stubborn dirt. It is also a valid aid for the maintenance and internal cleaning of the washing machine.
