The combination of star anise and white vinegar makes it an excellent cleanser that can be used for deep cleaning.

When you have to clean the house, you should always equip yourself with the best products of the moment, in order to thoroughly remove dirt and dust and give maximum shine to the rooms of the house and the furniture. One of the most important products is undoubtedly the disinfectant, which is sprayed on the various furniture and shelves and then wiped with a cloth. Many wonder if it is possible to prepare a good homemade disinfectant, without resorting to the classic products on the market.
A little star anise in white vinegar for a super clean clean clean
In fact, it is possible to create a solution capable of guaranteeing a truly excellent level of cleanliness. This “formula” actually consists of putting star anise in white vinegar, although you have to follow a few steps carefully to have a really effective disinfectant. First, put some vinegar in a bowl: in general, two cups of white vinegar are enough. At this point, add a cinnamon stick and 4-star anise or round anise to the bowl containing the vinegar. The last ingredient to add in this solution is cloves: half a handful will be enough.

Once everything is finished, the container is closed with a lid and left to rest for a few days. After about 48 hours, you can open the lid and then pour the solution into the classic spray bottle used to scent rooms. All that’s left to do is test the solution to see if it’s really that effective.
Simply spray it on a dry cloth. With the help of this cloth soaked in the anise and white vinegar solution, we go through the sugar and coffee jars that are in the kitchen (and that get dirty very easily). A few passes will be enough to restore an extraordinary shine to the containers, thus removing all traces of dust, grease and dirt.
Anise and white vinegar: also great for cooking, baking, and microwaving
But can this homemade cleaner be used only for utensils or can it be used to clean many other things as well? Yes, you can also apply the solution to clean the hob, oven, stove and much more: in any case you will easily realize how the mixture of anise and white vinegar is really a wonder for removing grease and dirt.

If you have any solution left, you can use it to clean the microwave. In this case, it is not necessary to apply the detergent on the cloth: it is advisable to place the container containing anise and white vinegar in the microwave and leave it inside for a few minutes. Then turn on the microwave for just one minute, then wipe the internal surfaces with a clean cloth, removing all grease.
Homemade detergent is also perfect for cleaning the countertop, kitchen furniture and all areas where grease accumulates: a few sprays and a good cloth will make everything look like new.
