Nutrition of roses after winter plays a key role in ensuring their healthy growth and abundant flowering. A sufficient amount of nutrients is needed for the development of the root system, the formation of new shoots, the formation of buds, and the provision of luxurious flowering.

Inspect the plant and remove any wilted foliage that has darkened over the winter. Areas where damaged parts are removed should be treated with garden varnish or special wax. This is followed by the first feeding, intended to stimulate the growth of green mass and shoots. To do this, dissolve 20 grams of ammonium nitrate in one liter of water.

After three weeks, apply a second feeding to promote a long and abundant flowering. Add 20 grams of calcium nitrate to a bucket of water and use the resulting solution to water the roses, using about 5 liters per bush.

Don’t forget to also add some humus under the bushes, which will gradually saturate the plants with the necessary nutrients.

By following these guidelines, you can effectively nourish your roses and prepare them for a gorgeous bloom.
