Experienced gardeners know that every piece of land requires special attention and care. There are many methods to enrich the soil, but not all of them are eco-friendly or affordable. Today we will share with you a trick that will allow you to save money and at the same time achieve abundant harvests: using eggshells.
It would seem that throwing away the eggshells is the most obvious solution. However, this seemingly waste product can become a real benefit to your plants. The husk is rich in calcium, which is necessary for the growth and development of many crops.

However, simply spreading the shells on the beds won’t cut it. In order for it to “work” effectively, it is necessary to perform certain actions with it.
How to make fertilizer from eggshells.
Collect the shells from 10 to 12 eggs and wash them thoroughly. Grind the peels into a powder. This can be done using a mortar and pestle, blender, or coffee grinder. Fill a liter jar with crushed shells. Add 200 ml of 9% vinegar to the peel. Close the jar with a lid and let it sit for 2-3 days. After the infusion time you will receive a concentrated calcium fertilizer perfectly absorbed by the plants.
How to apply fertilizer in the garden.
Eggshell and vinegar fertilizer should be diluted with water before use. Ratio: 1 tablespoon of fertilizer per 1 liter of water. The resulting solution can be used to water the plants once every 10 to 14 days.

This fertilizer is especially effective for feeding crops such as:
- Seedling;
- Pepper;
- Tomatoes;
- Eggplant;
- Cabbage;
- Strawberries;
- Strawberry;
- Raspberry;
- Gooseberry.
Important! Do not use this fertilizer to feed potatoes, sorrel, and spinach.
Using eggshells as fertilizer is an economical, environmentally friendly, and economical way to enrich the soil with calcium and achieve a bountiful harvest.
