Spring feeding is very important for strawberries, because during this period they must be provided with all the microelements they need. The ideal choice for this is the most common yeast. They contain a large amount of carbohydrates, B vitamins, minerals and carbohydrates. When yeast is dissolved in water, special compounds are formed that speed up root development, and this is very important, especially if you have transplanted shrubs. Thanks to yeast, strawberries will receive a wide range of useful substances before they begin to flower and bear fruit.

Fertilizer can be prepared from fresh or dried yeast.
If you prepare the dressing with fresh yeast, you will need 500 grams. Heat 2.5 litres of water to 23°C and dissolve the yeast in it, which is first grated with a grater to dissolve better. Leave in a dark place for 48 hours. Dilute the prepared concentrate in 20 liters of water. Water 300-500 ml under the shrub.

To feed dry yeast, take two sachets, pour them into warm water (2 cups), and add sugar (2 tablespoons). Leave in a warm and dark place for 4 hours. Then dilute in a bucket of water at room temperature and stir. Pour 250 ml of fertilizer under the bush and two liters of clean water on top.

You can therefore feed strawberries only three times per season: the first time, in mid-spring (from late April to early May), the second time, at the end of spring, before fruiting, the third, at the end of August. Once the harvest is finished, to prepare the bushes for autumn.
