There are several ways to create a boric acid-based household disinfectant. To prepare it you will need 10 grams of acid, which is normally sold in this container.

The first method involves diluting a packet of acid in half a liter of warm water. Then you should soak the banana peels in the resulting solution for 3-4 hours. It is better to use ripe fruit skins, as they are sweeter. The resulting banana peels will serve as bait for the ants. They should be placed next to the anthills and along their route.

The second method consists of dissolving a packet of acid in half a liter of water, adding sugar, jam or honey of your choice and distributing the mixture in small saucers with lids that must be placed in place.

The third method involves creating bait balls. To do this, you need to boil 2 hard-boiled eggs and use only the yolks. They should be pureed together with honey and boric acid, obtaining a well-mixed dough that can be rolled into balls. The resulting balls should be placed in the path of the ants. They are attractive to insects because of the smell of eggs and the sweetness of honey. The ants will happily eat them and take them to the anthill, where they will get rid of ants and aphids. The same recipe works well against house cockroaches.

After using boric acid-based “desserts,” ants will soon disappear from the area, and with them aphids. This will allow gardeners to reduce the time and effort spent on crop protection.
