Baking soda is a valid aid capable of blocking the formation of limescale in the washing machine. But be careful, you cannot use baking soda to remove the limescale that is already present inside the appliance.

By using baking soda, you can reduce the appearance of mold and harmful bacteria. Simply insert 250 grams of baking soda into the washing machine drum or, alternatively, into the detergent drawer. Start a dry cleaning by selecting the appropriate program.
Remedy number 3
One of the qualities of baking soda is its whitening power, in fact it is an excellent substitute for bleach. For great results, you’ll need:
- 250 grams of baking soda
- QB for liquid detergent for washing machine (possibly not harmful to the environment).
Place the liquid detergent and baking soda in the appropriate drawer. Turn on the appliance and when you pick up the clothes, you will immediately notice the results. It is recommended to introduce the two ingredients separately.
Remedy number 4
Another property of baking soda is to neutralize bad odors. In fact, it can be used in both machine washing and hand or dry cleaning. For a normal washing machine in the washing machine, it is recommended to introduce 25 grams of baking soda in the detergent drawer, to combine with the detergent you usually use. To wash hands, it will be necessary to pour 4 liters of warm water into a container and add 200 grams of baking soda. Wait until the next day before rinsing with plenty of water or washing in the washing machine. If, on the other hand, you prefer dry cleaning, you should put some baking soda in a cloth bag. Place the elements to be treated and shake carefully.
