For the plants we have at home or in the garden, an ingredient that we usually throw away is useful. Here’s how to use it.

In our homes, to beautify our rooms, we use some plants of different nature as accessories that help us to have a charming and beautiful home to look at.
Many of these plants are useful not only for their aesthetic function, but also to prevent the formation of mold on the walls due to the condensation of moisture that may occur.
Plants: Here’s what we can use instead of throwing it away
Some of these evergreen friends tend to absorb all the excess moisture and retain it, so even thanks to their photosynthesis there is a ubiquitous air exchange.
As with every plant and tree , thanks to this method there is an exchange of carbon dioxide and oxygen, which can prove to be really healthy for the human organism, and therefore the air in which the plants are found will always be right.
But we can also find these plants outdoors, especially on our balconies and gardens, and we have to be very careful with their maintenance, because bad weather could damage them.
Plants outside our homes are useful to the ecosystem , as insects can settle on their flowers and draw the nectar they need to continue pollination.

This is very important because the planet is getting greener and healthier thanks to pollinating insects, and having a garden full of flowers and plants does nothing but help these little friends of ours.
Recently, man has been increasingly pushed to raise awareness of the issue of ecological sustainability and protection of the planet after years of actions that threatened its health.
For this reason, in many Italian towns it has been decided to enrich the beds with flowers and plants in order to help the proliferation of insects and the continuation of their pollination activity, which is also very useful for us humans.
An unthinkable ingredient
As much as we can do for the environment, it always seems that there is never enough, so we are looking for ways to ensure that plants and flowers always thrive, but not everyone knows some of the secrets.
There is an ingredient that we usually throw away and which, on the contrary, is very useful if we put it in the soil of our plants. We are talking about eggshells, which, in combination with other waste, can become an excellent fertilizer.
First, you need to put the eggshells in the blender jar together with the banana peels and coffee grounds and pour a little water to soften everything.

We then proceed to ripen all the ingredients and obtain a mixture that must be incorporated into the soil of the plant, taking care to keep the mixture away from the roots.
This mixture needs to be introduced into a groove in the ground by digging and then covered with more earth and a little water so that everything is well absorbed.
This will help keep non-pollinating insects away, and the properties of the banana peel and eggshells will help grow strong, lush flowers and plants that will stand the test of time.
