Keeping your home clean and well sanitized is undoubtedly a very important aspect, which allows you to live in your apartment in a healthy and satisfactory way. In addition to the floors and shelves, the entire interior of the house should be cleaned, to avoid accumulations of dust, grease and dirt of all kinds. However, between the different rooms in our house there are pieces of furniture that can be really difficult to sanitize. Think, for example, of sofas, which tend to get dirtier than the rest of the furniture in the house.

This is because the sofa is a widely used piece of furniture, often also for eating and drinking. Almost all sofas have some stains or in any case formations of dust and various dirt.
That’s why there always comes a time when we can’t do anything but wash the sofa to make it look new again. Not an easy task, since the sofa is a very bulky piece of furniture and is often also characterized by very delicate fabrics. There is no need to despair, because there are remedies that allow us to sanitize our sofa in the best possible way. It is best not to rely on chemical solutions that can be easily found in specialty stores. The advice is to always focus on natural and organic solutions. The first thing we must do is get a container to fill it with hot water. Put just a little hot water inside the container, enough to cover the bottom. Half a liter should be enough. Now we will need two more important ingredients: baking soda and dish detergent. Add a teaspoon of baking soda into the container where we have already poured the hot water. Once this is done, we also put a tablespoon of dish detergent in the container and then mix it all together. The thing is not over, because now a third ingredient also of great importance comes into play. We are talking about shaving foam, the same one that is usually used for shaving. Many don’t know it, but shaving foam has an effective disinfectant action that can also be very useful for deep washing and sanitizing sofas and others.

Drizzle a good amount on the spoon and pour everything into the mixture, always making sure to stir well. At this point all you have to do is take a soft and clean cloth and dip it in the solution you have just obtained.
After soaking it well, spread the cloth on a table and place the lid of a pot on top, then cover it with the cloth itself. We take an elastic band and close the cloth with the lid inside, as if it were a bag. By holding the knob of the lid we can pass the cloth over the sofa, to use the excellent solution to deep clean the furniture. After a few vigorous strokes we will immediately realize how the remedy will be very effective for sofa hygiene. The deepest action is that of shaving foam, which in addition to killing bacteria also releases a very pleasant fragrance.
