Salt paint: the only super-powerful remedy against mold! Mold, in addition to being especially dangerous, is also very annoyingThe latter, in fact, can attack practically any object and food. If it appears on the walls of your home, then it is advisable to act promptly and concretely. One of the most suitable solutions is to use salt paint, an incredibly effective product. Let’s look at it in detail.

Salt paint: what is it?

When we talk about salt paint, we are referring to a specific product to combat and prevent mold and mildew in the home. Many will already know that there are chemicals on the market that are designed for this purpose, but very often they are harmful or too aggressive. Salt paint, on the other hand, is eco-sustainable and much less toxic. While it is necessary to protect ourselves, especially in winter, from these harmful microorganisms, on the other hand it is necessary to avoid damaging the planet and our health in other ways. But what is it really about? This paint is nothing more than a saline solution that is applied to wall surfaces. Its main action derives from the properties of salt, a particularly dehydrating element, which thus prevents the formation of fungi and mold and also prevents their growth, if they are already present. In addition, the antimicrobial properties also prevent the formation of many other harmful elements, such as various species of bacteria. Although we have talked about wall surfaces, it would be better to clarify more. Salt paint can be applied to ceilings, walls, and even carpets. In fact, being non-aggressive and ecological, it is particularly suitable for this purpose and, in addition, does not emit any odour, as is the case with traditional paint. We also highlight how resistant it is to liquids: just think that it can be applied without touch-ups even for several years.

How to apply it

All we have to do is pass it over the identified surfaces to apply it easily. This will create a kind of barrier to prevent the penetration of various molds and fungi. It is not a very aggressive product, so we will not get very significant results if mold is already present: before applying the paint, it would be advisable in this case to carefully remove all the mold. The affected surface should always be properly cleaned first. Once the operation has been carried out, it should be allowed to dry for a few hours and, if necessary, worked again.
