Eggs: an exceptional food

Eggs represent a food especially useful in protein diets, but more generally to complete a healthy and balanced diet. Several recent studies have even debunked the fact that eating more eggs during the week could be harmful to your health, as it was said to increase cholesterol levels. This does not mean that we should exaggerate, but that the two canonical eggs per week do not always have to be a very strict limitation. Eggs retain an exceptional heritage: we are talking about vitamin B12, vitamin K2, iron, phosphorus and calcium. Their added value in the kitchen also lies in the fact that they can be prepared in many different ways, as well as being the basis for a multitude of desserts and flans. For example, we can prepare some magnificent soft-boiled eggs, to enjoy with a teaspoon and perhaps with a pinch of salt and pepper; or we could prepare them in a pan. The scrambled eggs are also fantastic, suitable for an energetic breakfast and the poached ones are super tasty. In the pan they have an extra touch with some spices that enhance their strong flavor. That said, hard-boiled eggs are undoubtedly among the most popular – let’s look at a trick to prepare them.

Hard-boiled eggs: here’s the trick to cooking them

The main problem when preparing hard-boiled eggs is that the cooking often turns out not to be as expected. For example, if the egg is cooked too little, an almost liquid yolk comes out, on the contrary the yolk could be too dry. One of the most common problems, however, is that the egg white can detach from the shell during cooking, due to the cracks that are created. To prevent this from happening, it is advisable to opt for a large frying pan, to ensure that the different eggs do not collide with each other. In addition, by adding a teaspoon of fine salt to the pan, you can ensure the solidification of the egg whites, so that they do not come out of the shell. The same salt also manages to slightly increase the boiling temperature. Try it and tell us!

Peel them without problems

To peel eggs quickly, simply use the back of the spoon and tap the base of the egg until it breaks. Once the egg bladder is broken, the shell will come off easily and without ruining the white.
