Grandma’s trick: how to treat shirt collars and cuffs.
As we said, making shirts clean and shiny isn’t easy, so you need to act in advance. To play ahead and pre-treat it is necessary to use 3 ingredients capable of removing stains deeply and effectively. Using them will remove the unsightly grayish film that makes the t-shirt look perpetually dirty. Here’s what you can use:
- Baking soda
First of all, you can try using baking soda, an ingredient that is very present when cleaning the house. To make the best use, pour the baking soda into a bowl and mix it by slowly pouring in a little water. Once a kind of thick paste has been obtained, spread it on the shirt, in the areas to be cleaned, and leave everything on for a quarter of an hour. After the indicated time, if the marks are still evident, you will simply have to repeat the process and then you can wash the shirt in the way explained on the label.
- Marseille soap
Marseille soap can also be used as a powerful stain remover. All you need to do is spread the soap on the cuffs and neck and then rub the fabrics. Then leave it on for about 10 minutes and then wash the garment as usual.
- dish soap
Dish soap can also be a valuable friend for cleaning your shirt. Don’t be surprised: it will remove stains effectively. To do this, simply pour a small amount over the areas to be treated and then rub. Then place the shirt in a bowl of cold water and let it soak for 60 minutes. From time to time during this hour, rub the garment. Once the indicated time has passed, take the t-shirt to the washing machine and start the program. Everything seems a lot easier now, doesn’t it? You will see that the stains on the collar of your shirt will disappear in a few moments and will be a distant memory. The shirt, including the cuffs, will appear white as if it had just been purchased. You will only have to get down to work and follow these simple “instructions”. Grandma’s advice is always the best to follow. Good job.
