Drinking tea on an empty stomach can have a greater impact because it works more effectively in the body without competing with other foods. Today we’re talking about a tea to drink on an empty stomach that’s great for treating pain, whether it’s caused by an injury or a chronic condition. This tea also helps reduce inflammation, improves circulation, supports liver health, and even improves the appearance of your skin. In addition, it stimulates brain functions and improves memory and concentration. For this tea you only need two ingredients and half a glass of milk (optional). This is one of my favorite teas to make with milk, but if you don’t want to use milk, that’s totally fine.

Ingredients   :

  • 2 tablespoons fresh or dried rosemary
  • 1.5 tablespoons turmeric (fresh root or powder)
  • 1 cup of water
  • ½ cup milk (coconut milk or any other milk of your choice)
  • honey (optional, to sweeten)

Benefits of the ingredients

  1. Rosemary   :
    • Natural Antibiotic   : Thanks to a compound called carnosol, rosemary has powerful antimicrobial properties, making it very effective against intestinal and respiratory infections.
    • Cognitive stimulation   : It contains cineole, which improves concentration and memory.
    • Anti-inflammatory   : High amounts of potassium and cineole make rosemary a powerful anti-inflammatory that reduces various inflammatory processes in the body.
    • Digestive aid   : It relieves digestive problems such as heartburn, flatulence, and liver or gallbladder diseases.
    • Diuretic   : It fights water retention and promotes detoxification by increasing urine production.
  2. Turmeric   :
    • Powerful antioxidant   : Turmeric eliminates free radicals that can damage cells and contribute to cardiovascular disease.
    • Anti-inflammatory   : Curcumin, a key compound in turmeric, reduces inflammation and blocks inflammatory molecules, making it effective against conditions such as arthritis and inflammatory bowel disease.
    • Pain relief   : It relieves arthritic pain, gout and muscle pain caused by injuries.
    • Heart health   : Turmeric improves blood circulation, lowers cholesterol and prevents blood clots.
    • Skin benefits   : It brightens the skin, reduces wrinkles and fights signs of aging.

Recipe instructions   :

  1. Prepare the rosemary   :
    • Use 2 tablespoons of fresh or dried rosemary. If using fresh rosemary, remove the leaves from the stems.
  2. Prepare turmeric   :
    • Add 1.5 tablespoons of turmeric (fresh or powder) with 1 cup of water to a pot.
  3. Cook the mixture   :
    • Bring the turmeric and water to a boil, cover the pan and simmer for about 5 minutes.
  4. Add rosemary   :
    • After cooking, add the rosemary to the pan and let it simmer, covered, for another 5 minutes.
  5. Add the milk   :
    • Once the tea has cooled down a bit, add half a cup of milk (coconut milk or other). Mix well.
  6. Optional sweetener   :
    • Add a teaspoon of honey to sweeten if desired.
  7. surcharge   :
    • Strain the tea and enjoy it hot. Drink it in the morning on an empty stomach to maximize its effects.

Advice   :

  • If you don’t have fresh turmeric, powder works just as well.
  • For a dairy-free option, use plant-based milk such as almond or oat milk.
  • You can reuse leftover rosemary and turmeric for compresses to soothe the skin or relieve inflammation.
