Let’s now talk about a topic that will please all gardening lovers. How many times have you had an orchid that is getting sick and you don’t know what to do?

We are often fascinated by the beauty of orchids , and whether at home or on the balcony, they give us that extra bit of wonder. However, caring for plants and flowers is not so easy, especially when they get sick or start to suffer. Let’s now look at a natural fertilizer to save an orchid.
When is an orchid healthy?
Orchids are beautiful flowers that give that extra touch to the house or our balcony. For many, caring for plants is a true passion while for others it is a job. However, it is not always easy to care for them, either because of the difficulty of the plant, the climate or some diseases.

When a flower like an orchid has a good soil environment and a good dose of nutrients, the plant will grow much stronger and we will surely see much more striking flowers. Obviously, for lovers of green, saying that a good fertilizer helps in the mission is trivial. However, it is not so obvious. In fact, something can go wrong, but there is a remedy that few people know about.
How to care for an orchid, just one tablespoon of this natural fertilizer will be enough
When we decide to plant many orchids, it is not unusual to find rot on the plant itself or on the leaves, and that is why when we notice this situation we must act immediately. First of all, we must immediately cut off the part that is rotting and isolate the pot in which the affected orchid is located from the others to avoid affecting them as well.

After removing the rotten part, it is important to dry the rotting solution even if only with absorbent paper and it is very important to remove the residues and isolate them as much as possible. Next, take a piece of activated charcoal , made from natural dry firewood. Then, mix the charcoal and turn it into powder.
Then we will have to spray the “wound” of the plant with it, which will allow it to heal faster and prevent the spread of more diseases. In addition, perhaps not everyone knows that activated carbon has a very important sterilizing function. Always use charcoal powder to sprinkle the base of the plant as well, and isolate the vase with that orchid from everything else. Then do not water it for a week.
We can immediately see how the plant will recover on its own. This brings us to some very useful tips. We take a teaspoon of activated charcoal powder and mix it with 1 L of water and we will need this to wet the base of the plant. Continuing with this at least once a week will help the pH of the substrate not to develop more diseases. Another tip is to immerse the pot with the plant in water and charcoal for at least 30 minutes.
What results will we obtain with this practice?
It may seem like a very long process to do, especially at home, but it is not. In fact, if we can make it a habit, our orchids will be much stronger and healthier as well as beautiful. Clearly after understanding the process, we wonder what results we will get if we follow these tips.
One last step to take before seeing real results is to use charcoal- filtered water to wash the leaves of your orchid. All you need is a piece of cotton or absorbent paper soaked in water and gently wiped over all the leaves. This way, you will protect the plant from fungi and insects, and the calcium present in the liquid will strengthen the leaf itself.
Finally, we can put the leftover filtered water in a diffuser and use it to spray the entire plant. This will make it stronger and more beautiful. Not to mention that we will keep insects and fungi away. As for the results, we will immediately notice how the roots will grow faster and stronger, the orchid will be much more nourished, the flowers will appear strong and bright and more buds will grow on the same stem.
