Cleaning wooden furniture.

If you have wooden furniture in your home, you know that it is necessary to treat it  , as over time it tends to stain or develop dull spots. As the material is very delicate, you should always remember not to use the first product that comes to your hands.

Basically, you have to choose specific wood products available on the market and not use random sprays. In fact, the chemicals present in the latter could ruin your furniture.  It is always better to use natural products  and today we show you how.

Polish wooden furniture

Next, in the next paragraph, we are going to show you  how to make a completely natural compound  . You will need few products and most likely you already have them at home and you will not have to buy them. Even if you bought them you would spend about 10 euros. But let’s see all the details here.

Here’s how to polish wood furniture.

As we just said, we are going to show you a  completely natural compound so that you can polish your wooden furniture  , whether it is wardrobes, dressers, tables, chairs or even doors. You can actually use it on any wooden furniture you have in your home without any problem.

However, we recommend that you always test the compound on an inconspicuous part first to make sure it doesn’t damage the wood. In fact, even though it’s a natural compound, it’s best not to damage the furniture at all. What you need is:  half a cup of baking soda, the juice of 1 lemon, and 1 tablespoon of olive oil  .

Lemon and baking soda

The  first thing we need to do is take the lemon and squeeze out the juice  . Once you have squeezed it, filter it well to remove any bones or pulp. At this point, put it in a bowl and  pour in the other two ingredients  . Mix vigorously until you obtain an emulsion.

Now that the mixture is ready, you will need a wool or microfibre cloth. Dip it into the natural mixture, wring it out a bit and use it on the furniture.  Wipe it off and let it sit for about 5 minutes before removing the excess product  with a clean wool cloth or a dusting cloth. Your wooden furniture will never have looked so shiny.

Other natural remedies

This is a mixture made up of several products but  you can also use the products individually  if you don’t feel like preparing the mixture. Here are some methods you can follow:

  • Apple cider vinegar  : just put it on a wool or microfibre cloth and wipe it over the wooden furniture. Leave it to act for 5 minutes and then rinse with a damp cloth. Then dry with another clean cloth.
  • Seed oil  : Pour a little oil onto a cotton pad and rub it over the furniture. Leave it on for 10 minutes and then rinse with a damp cloth. Then dry with another clean cloth.

The effect is guaranteed and it will take you just a few minutes to bring your wooden furniture back to life at home. Everyone will be asking you what you used.
