Old shampoo bottles should not be thrown away because they can still be very useful: a few tips.
In this recent period characterized by rampant inflation and sharp increases in energy costs, we have all learned to adopt good habits at home , so as not to consume too much and save money on the bill. Likewise, many have also chosen to change their approach to used objects. Whereas before everything was thrown away, now we try to recycle some objects that can still be very useful for other purposes. This not only preserves the environment, but also avoids unnecessary expenses that can impact the budget.
Recycling old shampoo bottles: here’s how to do it
For example, old shampoo bottles should not be thrown away because they can still be used in other ways.
Anyone who has old shampoo bottles at home should not throw them away. It only takes a few steps to transform these old bottles into new items.
The first thing we need to do is take one of these shampoo bottles and cut off the cap with a hacksaw . The next step is to get a cardboard tube and insert it into the cap we just cut (so be careful with the dimensions, ed.).
We keep the cap on one end of the tube. To make it stick well we can also apply a little glue to the end of the tube, in order to perfectly apply the cap that we made by denting the shampoo bottle.
Now we take a pair of scissors and cut the end of the tube where we insert the cap. The cut should be made approximately two or three centimetres below the cap.
We cover the other end of the small piece of tube with glue and insert it well into a pin, as you can clearly see in the video. The next step is to cut a piece of the shampoo dispenser . In the remaining part we are going to insert a small plastic tube to see if it fits correctly.
Having also noted this, we insert the above creation into the upper part of the shampoo dispenser, then also inserting the small plastic tube.
In this way we will have managed to create a comfortable pump from which to extract the detergent to wash the dishes .
We also make great storage containers from old shampoo bottles.
The other way to recycle your used shampoo bottle is to cut off the bottom of the product to use as a handy storage container.
By cutting out the part that interests us as seen in the video, we can have a practical mini container that we can hang in the kitchen , behind the sink.
Inside this small container, which is obtained from the used shampoo bottle, we can put the sponges that we use to wash the dishes, including the metal one that allows us to remove even the most stubborn dirt from the dishes.
So, from a simple old bottle we have created two very useful solutions for our home. You can also achieve many other things with a plastic bottle: try it to believe it.
