We will have to try our hand at creating this special candle that has a triple function: to eliminate bad smells, give off a pleasant smell and keep all insects away. It is not difficult to give life to this product, you need a few ingredients, a little patience and it will last you for months.
If you don’t feel satisfied with commercial products and the results are never what you hoped for, it’s time to take care of it yourself. This candle will have the power to release strong aromas that can neutralize any bad smell coming from the sewage. No product on the market has such power, and now we explain how to make it the best. The steps are few and simple.
Bad smells and insects of all kinds: enough is enough now
The bathroom is the room in the house most prone to the birth of unpleasant odors. The sewers in this room are heard loud and clear. In addition, a determining cause of the appearance of bad odors is humidity. The high humidity that is created after each bath or shower leads to the formation of mold of various kinds. This happens especially if we don’t keep the window open for long enough. Unfortunately, the consequences of humidity are not only these.

What happens in a humid environment full of mold is also the appearance of insects of various kinds. Some species of insects are attracted to this type of environment and hardly go away. The underlying problem is that insecticides make the surrounding air unbreathable, especially in small spaces such as bathrooms. Another disadvantage of insecticides is that they do not prevent their appearance, it only acts by killing those already present without preventing their return. These chemicals are also toxic and harmful to the environment. So let’s see how we can replace commercial insecticides with a harmless product that is perfect for our purpose. In addition to replacing insecticides, you will also replace air fresheners. Here’s how to create our own miracle candle.
DIY bath candle: here’s how it’s done
To create our multi-functional candle, all we need to do is get ingredients that we certainly have at home. All you need is a lemon, cloves, and a simple unused candle. The first step is to grate the lemon: we will need its peel. Then squeeze it to get all the juice from it. Combine everything in a bowl and mix with a few grams of cloves.
In the meantime, melt the candle in a saucepan: when it is totally melted we will have to take its wick, or the thread contained in the candle that allows it to be lit. Pour all the contents of the saucepan into the bowl containing the lemon peel, lemon juice and cloves. Stir quickly to prevent the wax from solidifying and pour into a glass. Place the wick in the center with the help of pliers and let everything solidify.

After less than an hour, our candle will be ready to use. We can place it wherever we prefer, but the best place is near the toilet. After a few minutes from its ignition we will be able to notice a pleasant smell that invades our entire bathroom: an excellent smell that will no longer let even an insect approach and that will neutralize the bad ones in the sewers. Try it to believe it, you won’t do without it.
