Best Dish Sponge Ideas – It Only Takes a Few Minutes
Let’s think, for example, of common dishwashing sponges, essential for thoroughly cleaning pots and pans, eliminating all types of dirt and making them look as good as new. Well, sponges can be used for various purposes and DIY ideas.
Take a dish sponge and cut a small side portion.
Just calculate two centimeters on each side with a ruler, marking the two points with a marker and drawing a line to join them. Once this is done, we can go and cut out the small part, then fill one of its sides with glue.
At this point, you join the small portion you just cut with the rest of the dishwashing sponge, gluing the side where you put the glue on the yellow part of the tool.
In this way, we will form a sort of “L”.
By putting a little glue on the back of the work we are making (therefore on the green part) we can glue the sponge to a cardboard, using scissors to cut away the superfluous part of cardboard.
The next step is to glue a few pieces of fabric to the sides of the sponge, and then glue the main piece of fabric all the way around the double ‘L’ shaped sponge.
Working well with scissors and glue, we finish the piece of fabric in order to perfectly cover the work we have made with the dish sponge.
Just a few scraps and a few folds are enough to be able to have a beautiful mini sofa, which we can further enrich by always using the dish sponge.
Don’t throw them away: they are very useful
Just take two more rectangular pieces of sponge and cover them with cardboard, which we will glue around the portion of sponge always with the help of glue.
By doing so we will have created magnificent armrests, which will make the mini sofa made with the dish sponge even more realistic.
With the green part you can also make small squares to glue under the mini sofa, so as to make it even more real.
We thus have an armchair where we can accommodate the puppets we have at home.
