When we finish using the adhesive tape we must never throw away the roll: it can be very useful with the yarn to make other things.

The recycling of objects that we usually use at home is a practice that is becoming more and more widespread, especially in a period like the one we are experiencing. The economic difficulties that many families are going through due to the crisis and the many price increases have prompted many to no longer throw certain objects in the trash, but rather to think about how to reuse them at home. In this way, you can avoid unnecessary expenses and also contribute to a greater respect for the environment, another aspect that should certainly not be underestimated.
A lot can be done with ribbon and yarn: here’s how
Just to give an example, when we run out of rolls of adhesive tape we must not throw them in the trash, because they can still be useful for different purposes.
If we take a roll of tape 8.5 centimeters wide and another roll 5.5 centimeters wide, we will easily realize how we can create a very interesting work.

With acrylic paint and a brush we paint the entire external part of the 5.5 cm roll, then doing the same with the internal one. We complete the same operation with the largest roll as well.
Now let’s place the two rolls of adhesive tape on a cardboard. With a marker we draw the circumference of the two rolls, cutting both from the cardboard. On the back of the circles just cut out we carefully place glue, so as to be able to attach the muffled paper (cutting away the leftover).
Still with the glue gun, we put the glue on the outer edges of the two previously painted rolls, so as to glue the two circles. The smaller one is then placed inside the larger one, at the bottom.
The next step is to put a little more glue on the top edge of the larger roll, since we will have to glue a yarn right there, i.e. a weave of strong textile fibers.
As soon as we have made sure that the yarn has covered the entire edge, we can do the same with the other side, always using the wool threads and the glue gun.
Something magical comes out
The work is not yet completed. The next step, in fact, involves applying a fair amount of glue to the outer edge of the work we are making.

Therefore we will have to put it both on the outer edge of the larger roll and on the edge of the smaller one. Add the glitter powder on both edges where we have just put the glue. Once this is also done, we can go and complete the job.
Inside the smaller roll we are going to put some Christmas puppets, such as Santa Claus and a reindeer. On the ‘upper floor’, however, we place a few Christmas stars.
In this way we will have created a splendid Christmas decoration, which we can show off on some shelf in our home, use as a centerpiece for Christmas dinner or perhaps give to a loved one on festive days.
