You never have to throw away your toothpaste because there is a way to recover every drop of product. In fact, you have to use it this way so as not to waste it.
We habitually buy toothpaste for oral hygiene and it is essential to use it every day and even several times a day combined with the toothbrush. What you don’t know maybe is that you can use this product in a different way as well. In fact, toothpaste solves several household problems related above all to household chores.
Toothpaste is a product with a thousand uses and in fact below we are going to show you how not to waste even a little of your toothpaste. You won’t have to buy one just to clean but we show you how to use the one that is practically finished. All in the next paragraph.
Here’s how not to waste toothpaste
Don’t throw away your empty toothpaste. In fact, we are now going to show you how to use it. Just cut it and you will find a really good alternative use. You will need two long toothpicks and two cotton swabs. Then take a small elastic band and join the two toothpicks so that they are firm together at one end.
Then place the almost finished tube of toothpaste inside the two tied toothpicks. Now with another elastic band also block the other two ends that have remained free. Now by sliding the two toothpicks towards the cap you will recover all the product and you will not lose it.
Small remains of residues will still remain attached to the plastic tube, however, and now let’s see what they can be useful for. Then take scissors and cut strips of tube of about 2 centimeters. Then open them with a cut on the short side so you can use them to clean.
For example, you can rub one of these open strips of toothpaste on the tap to remove the limescale stains present on it. In fact, the small amount that is present is enough to help you eliminate everything. Then wipe with a dry cloth and it’s done. But this is not the only way.
Other methods on how to use it
We have other uses to recommend to you. You must always use the strips obtained previously opened. Here they are:
- Pot lids: Dirt usually settles in the lids, especially along the edges. All you have to do is pass this strip on both the inner and outer edges to remove the hidden dirt. It will also give shine to the glass and eliminate bad odors.
- Shoe soles: Take another strip and pass it over the sole of the shoes. Usually in most shoes this is present and is white. Being a light color, it tends to get dirty easily and in this way you will solve it in no time. In fact, it takes very little: rub and then wipe with a damp cloth to remove any excess.
- Iron: You can pass a strip on the iron as limescale deposits often create here. You will also need an old toothbrush to better remove all the residue. Then wipe with a damp cloth.
- Eliminate stains: in this case we are talking about stains on the walls of the wall. Especially for the white walls. In fact, just pass the strip gently over the stain without further scratching the wall and then rub on the stain with a cloth moistened with hot water.
