To repair hail bumps, you can rely on a very simple, fast and above all cheap remedy: seeing is believing.
Italian summers are increasingly characterized by scorching heat waves that cause the mercury to skyrocket even above 40 degrees. This intense heat, which affects even the usually cooler places such as hilly and mountainous areas, often lasts many days if not weeks. It is precisely this profound thermal anomaly that also triggers very dangerous thunderstorm events. The rains, in fact, are becoming heavier and heavier and the showers now often create a series of inconveniences. Among the various events considered very risky there are also hailstorms, increasingly characterized by huge grains.
How to repair hail bumps: the method is foolproof
When hailstorms hit with particular violence, they can cause significant damage, both to houses and cars. Hail, in fact, can cause even very large bumps that are particularly difficult to repair.
Many choose to contact their trusted mechanic to repair the bumps caused by the hailstorm, but the intervention of the specialist involves an expense that is anything but trivial.
The alternative is to try to intervene independently, that is, by equipping oneself with the necessary tools to try to repair the damage. The first thing we will need is a hook, on which we will put hot glue and then place it at the bump.
At this point we have to use a dent repair kit, which can also be easily found on Amazon. As you can clearly see in the video, the goal is to go and fix the kit with the hook that we have placed on the bump and go to pull.
The important thing is not to pull everything in one stroke, but to go and make small movements until the hook comes off. A small check will be enough to notice that the draft has decreased.
By repeating the operation a second time, the bump will decrease further, disappearing almost completely. If there are some small sketches left, we can proceed a third time but with a smaller hook.
Even if the dent does not disappear completely, with this system we will be able to reduce it significantly until it almost disappears.
With this method you solve everything: you just have to try
When you go to pull with the kit, some other problem can arise. For example, it can happen that the bodywork comes out a little too far. In this case, just use a hammer that is usually supplied with the dent repair kit.
Alternatively, you can use a simple screwdriver, obviously on the side of the handle. Also in this case we will not be able to make everything disappear but certainly the damage will be much less visible.
Clearly, if you want a perfect job, you can contact a professional who will be able to bring the car back as good as new. However, as mentioned, this work by an experienced mechanic requires a considerable expense.
With this simple technique, however, we can drastically and quickly reduce the problem of bumps caused by hail, moreover spending very little.
