Among the characteristics that an outdoor flooring must have we have impermeability, being non-slip and antifreeze. Then again resistant to loads and above all to atmospheric agents. But still to sudden changes in temperature and possible propensity of mold. All the characteristics can be found in the technical data sheet of the material and flooring you choose.

Among the possibilities that can be chosen for exteriors we have terracotta, natural stone, porcelain stoneware for exteriors, concrete, wood and other synthetic materials. Now below let’s see how to clean garden tiles according to materials. You can find everything in the next paragraph.
Garden tiles: this is how you need to clean them
As we have just said, indoor tiles should not be used outdoors at all as they do not have the same resistance. Obviously, tiles that are outdoors are more prone to dirt due to atmospheric events or the simple presence of a nearby garden.
Then there are some materials that are more porous than others that tend to accumulate more dirt and dust. For the ordinary cleaning of garden tiles, a natural mixture consisting only of water and vinegar can be used. If there are more stubborn stains, you can also add baking soda from Marseille soap. But let’s see for the individual materials:

- Stone: to clean an outdoor stone pavement you can use a mixture consisting of 10 tablespoons of alcohol, 2 tablespoons of baking soda and Marseille soap.
- Cooked: it is best to choose a special detergent. There are several specific ones on the market for this type of flooring. It is a delicate floor and you must also pay attention to drying it with a microfiber cloth.
- Wood: also in this case it is advisable to use specific products as this is a very delicate material, products based on specific oils are needed.
Removing weeds from tiles
If you find weeds among the tiles, it is very normal. We are in the garden and it is possible that it will happen. Although you always tear out the root, it always comes out and for this you have to use a specific product. For example, you can use baking soda diluted in water.

Just take a bottle with 1 L of water and then add 10 g of baking soda. Shake well and then pour into the places where there are more weeds. These will die and tend not to grow anymore. Chances are, you’ll need to repeat this more than a few times. Remember to do it at sunset when the sun is not there and at temperatures below 35°C.
