How should you proceed? Here’s everything you need to know to get back to using your phone in the best possible way if you forget your PIN code.
The solution to unlock the SIM
In the package containing the SIM at the time of purchase, in addition to the PIN code, there will also be another specific code. We refer to the PUK code. It will be 8 digits and will be used to unlock the phone, in case you have forgotten the access password.

In our hectic lives, however, it can happen that we do not find the box that contained our SIM after purchase. In that case, you will not be able to easily get hold of the PUK. There is, however, a way to have access to this code.
You will have to contact your telephone provider. The operators will make sure that the person on the phone is really the owner of the SIM, by means of some security questions. If successful, the PUK code will be issued with which you can unlock the SIM and, later, enter and confirm the new PIN code.
Not all operators, however, allow you to send a new PUK code to their customer, for a matter of privacy and security.
In this case, you will have to go to a point of sale of your telephone operator and request a new SIM, provided with PIN and PUK. You can request to keep your old phone number, so you don’t have any problems in this regard.
