The air conditioner is among the appliances that consume the most when left on stand-by compared to game consoles, microwaves, electric coffee machines and others. In fact, the air conditioner consumes even when turned off because in reality it continues to absorb air.
The stand-by consumption of the air conditioner ranges from a minimum of 2 W to a maximum of 80 W. Considering that the electricity cost is 0.50, the consumption is considerable. This price can vary from your energy contract and you can check it on the contract you have signed with the entity.
