What happened to this couple who renovated their grandmother’s house after 20 years? The house they renovated is located in the forest and no one had lived there for a long time. Let’s find out how the two managed to turn this shack into a mansion that almost looks like a 5-star hotel!
The two homeless people decide to return
The homeless couple lived in the city, where they worked, but after many years they decided to go to the house of their grandmother, who had been dead for a long time. Grandma’s house was a shack, it was all shabby and was in the middle of the forest.
Arriving in front of the house, the couple realized that the structure was too old, but the man decided to take a look, so he opened the door after taking the keys hidden under a piece of wood. He put the key in the bolt and after removing it opened the door.
What appeared before his eyes was terrible, the house was full of things, old, broken furniture and was very dirty. The man, however, did not lose heart and first took a lamp from a drawer and so turned on the light.
The couple threw out the old stuff
Since they had nowhere to go, because they had no home, the two began to act. They took chairs and old furniture and threw them outside, so as to make room in the house and figure out what to do to put it back in order. The house had been uninhabited for many years and therefore there was dirt and dust everywhere.
After taking out all the unusable things, they took a broom and began to clean the furniture from the inside, removing what was inside, in order to eliminate all the dust. They also removed paper and plastic that covered a table and a cupboard and cleaned that too.
Then they began to sweep the ground, removing a lot of dirt, which they put in a basket and threw out. The man filled water that he collected in a bucket and spread it on the concrete floor, to prevent the dust from rising too much.
They also took more water to clean the furniture, so as to remove all the dust and dirt that had accumulated over the years.
The renovated house was beautiful – it looked like a 5 star hotel
Even before finishing the interior, which the couple had cleaned properly, the man thought of making a concrete base on the outside to create a corner around the house where he could relax. So he got help from some friends and together they created a sort of outdoor patio surrounded by a beautiful wooden railing.
With wooden planks that he took from the woods, he prepared a resistant table that he placed outside to eat with his partner. Again with the planks he redid the internal roof of the house, placing them next to each other and creating a suggestive roof.
Then he redid the plaster on the walls and prepared the screed for the floor together with his friends, which needed to be redone. On top of the mortar he applied the beautiful large tiles that made the house more beautiful and more livable. Then he prepared a wooden door and painted both the door and the furniture that had come out of the old house.
The result was exceptional and the renovated house looked like another one, no longer the old one that had belonged to my grandmother and that had been abandoned for years. Finally the two could stay in a real house and it was no longer homeless, thanks to the effort they had put into renovating it. Friends had also been very helpful and generous in offering their help. And the couple was happy to have made this choice!
