Just fill a bag full of water to definitively solve a classic problem of the summer months: try it to believe it.

The summer months are eagerly awaited by many people who can’t wait to return to enjoy some relaxation on the beach or to walk some path in the mountains or maybe indulge in a nice meal outdoors in some characteristic place. However, as homeowners know well, the heat of summer and consequently the need to keep the windows open to circulate some air also involves some significant annoyance. First of all, the apartment is once again filled with various insects, such as mosquitoes that bother not only humans, but also animals and plants.
With a bag full of water, flies will be just a memory
In addition to mosquitoes, it is not uncommon in summer to come across spiders, geckos and ants in the rooms of your home, up to flies. It is probably the flies that cause the most problems, given their annoying buzzing.

The good news is that there are ways to get rid of flies or at least to significantly reduce their presence inside the house. Many choose to rely on the various chemicals that are easily found even in common supermarkets.
However, the advice is not to opt for these solutions and instead choose alternative remedies, which are much less impactful from an environmental point of view.
Just to give an example, many people do not know that a simple sheet of aluminum foil can be enough to keep flies away from your home.
What should be done, exactly? First of all, take an aluminum foil, divide it in half and then further divide the two halves obtained, until you get squares. Let’s roll up these squares, so as to make small balls.
How many balls should I make? Generally, it can only take four or five to create this foolproof method that will keep insects away from the house.
The next step is to take a transparent bag and pour water into it (tap water is fine). You don’t need to fill the whole bag, but only the lower part.
What needs to be done now? Inside the transparent bag where we poured the water, we also put the balls that we have previously made by rolling up the aluminum.
Aluminum balls to ward off flies: here’s why
Why should putting aluminum balls inside the bag with water allow us to avoid the invasion of flies in our home? The reason is soon said.

The reflection of the water on the film, in fact, acts as a deterrent for flies, which will feel a lot of annoyance because of this and will keep well away from our home.
After placing the aluminum balls in the water, close the bag, making a simple knot. All that remains is the last step, which is to hang the bag in the house to keep flies away.
This last ‘step’ can be performed using an elastic band or a thread, so as to easily hang the bag. We can place it on the door of the house, or near the windowsill or anywhere in the house where flies could enter more easily.
