  1. Clean filters and pipes:

Your washing machine filters can become clogged and reduce the efficiency of the appliance. It is important to clean them every three months. Also, check the supply and drain lines to make sure they are not clogged or damaged.

  1. Open the lid after use:

Leave the lid or door of your washing machine open after each use. This allows air to circulate and prevents mould and bad odours from forming.

  1. Proper use of detergent:

Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions regarding the amount of detergent to use. Too much detergent can leave residue and damage the machine in the long run.

  1. Separate clothes by color and material:

To prevent fading and wear, sort your clothes by color and material before washing. Use cycles appropriate for each type of fabric.

  1. Check pockets before washing:

Make sure to empty your clothing pockets. Objects such as coins or tissues can cause damage to the machine.
