The stench of being locked in closets is hard to fight. Have you ever tried the sheet trick? Get rid of all bad odors in an instant.

When you open the wardrobe, perhaps not exactly new, you may perceive a horrible smell coming right from the inside. This is due to a series of causes and circumstances, many that lead to that smell of closed and stale that also impregnates clothes. There is an equally ancient method that you could try immediately and it consists in having only one sheet of paper. And then? Let’s find out together.
How often should you clean the wardrobe?
The smell of closed and old, as anticipated, comes forcefully and soaks along the fabrics of all clothing. Especially if we have inherited the wardrobe from our grandmother or it is in any case dated, it should be ventilated at least once a day for 10/15 consecutive minutes.

Once a month it is necessary to remove all clothes, accessories and in any case the contents of the wardrobe and wash the interior thoroughly with Marseille soap and a teaspoon of baking soda.
Perfume the wardrobe: methods and tips
Before seeing what the method of the sheet of paper for wardrobes is, let’s see together how to perfume them to have clothes without bad smell:
- The first thing to do is to create a scented bag with purri pot or directly with dried lavender leaves or mint. The bag is then placed inside the wardrobe and in an instant the wardrobe will smell good;
- Experts also recommend using the flakes of scented soap or Marseille soap, to be placed inside a small bowl that will then be placed inside the closet. Alternatively, the scales can also be put in a bag as explained above;
- One of the old remedies is always baking soda, which will be poured into a small bowl and then placed in a corner of the closet. It erases bad odors and gives a clean aroma to clothing. That’s not all, with an addition of essential oil you can increase the good smell (always choose the fragrance you want).

We have told you about an ancient method, but still very much in vogue, to eliminate odors from the wardrobe. While the various remedies perfume the interior and the garments, this one directly eliminates moisture by counteracting the formation of mold.
In addition, it helps to remove the closed and stale smell that forms inside the wardrobes, especially if they are dated. How to do it? It will be enough to have four sheets of newspaper from newspapers – but not magazines – and turn them into balls. Now put them in the four corners inside the wardrobe: this will allow you to absorb all the moisture and remove that bad smell in any way.

Grandmothers also used to line the inside of the wardrobe with sheets of newspaper, so as to solve all kinds of problems. Remember to change these sheets at least once a week.
