You’ve probably noticed, especially in summer, that your shoes start to smell bad. Take the initiative now with this very simple but brilliant tip.

Smelly shoes are often an irritating problem, as the odor is also transferred to your socks and feet. Smelly feet can also lead to awkward social situations, as people wonder where the unpleasant odor that seems to be coming from your shoes is coming from.

That’s why many people regularly wash their shoes in the washing machine to remove odors. However, there is a “shoe deodorizer” that saves you time and energy. The shoes also stay dry, meaning you don’t have to wait for them to dry. It’s also important to remember that some shoes do not withstand machine or hand washing, hence the need to use other methods.

To perform this simple trick you will need:

  • a tea bag
  • a small funnel
  • Baking soda powder
  • A stapler or something else to close the bag.
  • A plastic Kinder surprise egg
  • A small nail or a large needle.
  • Smelly shoes (naturally)

How to do it?

  1. Open the tea bag and discard the contents.
  2. Place the funnel inside the tea bag and pour in baking soda to fill it.
  3. Fold the tea bag and staple it shut.
  4. Place the tea bag inside the plastic surprise egg.
  5. Poke holes with the needle or nail at the end of the surprise egg.
  6. Your “deodorant” is ready! Place it inside your shoe.
  7. Change the baking soda when you notice the effectiveness of the cooler decreasing.
