Do you want to have very clean, shiny and super fragrant floors? There is a natural remedy that you absolutely must try, here’s what it is.

Highly polished floor

Floors seem like an easy surface to clean compared to others in the house, but that’s not really the case. In fact, you have to pay close attention first of all to the type of material that is on the ground. In fact, depending on the material, there will be a different treatment as some natural ingredients could stain your floors.

Sometimes there are really persistent stains that struggle to be eliminated but with the right knowledge nothing should be so difficult. Each material must therefore be treated differently but the advice is certainly before trying any new method do a test in a hidden and not very visible part. Let’s now see a mixture for cleaning floors.

Floor mix: scented for 48 hours

To have clean and grease-free and super fragrant floors for 48 hours, you need to create a mixture that we are now going to see together. First you will need the bucket and the mop. You have to pour two liters of hot water into the bucket first and then we will see what to add.

Then you need to add 2 caps of multipurpose disinfectant for home, 1 cap of alcohol preferably 70%, 3 tablespoons of white vinegar and 1 cap of vanilla. Stir well with the help of a spoon and then you can start washing. This is good for ceramics as well as wood or porcelain. It fits very well and is not only scented but also sanitizing.

Other ways to wash floors naturally

The mixture we have just seen, however, is not the only recipe for creating a DIY detergent at home. In fact, there are several that may be suitable for certain types of floors. At the supermarket you can find a number of floor detergents and you stay there for some time without knowing how to choose, but in reality you just don’t have to choose and do it yourself.

A low-cost and environmentally friendly alternative. We are now going to see some recipes together that involve the use of some ingredients that you will most likely already have in the pantry:

With 3 L of water, 3 tablespoons of baking soda, 10 tablespoons of denatured alcohol and 1 tablespoon of Marseille soap flakes you will wash mainly stone or granite surfaces but also marble. Just pour all the ingredients into the bucket with hot water and then dip the microfiber cloth or mop.

Otherwise, with 3 L of water, 4 tablespoons of vinegar, 4 tablespoons of denatured alcohol and a tablespoon of Marseille soap flakes, you will wash mainly stoneware, ceramic or concrete surfaces. Also in this case the procedure is the same, hot water in the bucket and then add the various ingredients until they dissolve.

Then there is another alternative that is dedicated to wooden floors or parquet. You will need 3 L of water, 2 tablespoons of baking soda, 1 piece of Marseille soap. The steps are always the same, only in this case you will drain the Marseille soap first in boiling water and create a sort of cream that you can keep in a bottle to use if necessary.
